We have finally started putting the arm onto our robot. We will most likely finish putting it together next class and then we'll get to start coding for the tetrahedron challenge.
So the robot never did a perfect figure 8 when we showed it to Mr. Martin, but it did three perfect runs right before we showed it to him. After that, it continuously messed up runs, so now we're just taking the low grade and moving on to the tetrahedron challenge.
This class, Mr. Martin helped us with the figure 8, still didn't get to finish because some screws started falling off the robot, and of course that had to be fixed. It should FINALLY be done next class.
We spent this class just updating Blogger, played around with Figure 8 a bit, making tweaks to the robot, things like that. Still haven't started on the tetrahedron, Figure 8 is holding us back still.
Since we finished rebuilding the chassis and its gonna be time for the clawbot, I managed to update the SolidWorks to have the claw. That's really all we did, now just to actually add the claw.
To make the robot better, we decided to take it apart and rebuild it with better wheels. During class we only got to take it apart but during study hall I (Adrianna) came in and finished rebuilding the chassis.
Today my main focus is just to get the blogger updated. I was by myself today and Adrianna wanted to redesign the robot so I don't want to mess with the robot.
As a frustrated group we have decided to completely redesign our robot. We are hoping this will alleviate the frustrations of our robot producing drastically different results when the same code is used. We are still hoping to be able to complete the Figure 8 challenge as we are very behind on that.
